india General Elections 2024: State Wise, Official Links, Dates, Phase 1 to 7

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha (national parliamentary) elections on March 16. The elections will be held in 7 phases, with voting kicking off on April 19 and concluding on June 1. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.

The Model Code of Conduct, which governs the conduct of political parties and candidates during elections, came into immediate effect upon the announcement of the election schedule.

The phasing of the elections is as follows:
  1. Phase 1 (April 19): 102 constituencies
  2. Phase 2 (April 26): 89 constituencies
  3. Phase 3 (May 3): 94 constituencies
  4. Phase 4 (May 10): 96 constituencies
  5. Phase 5 (May 17): 49 constituencies
  6. Phase 6 (May 24): 57 constituencies
  7. Phase 7 (May 31): 57 constituencies
In addition to the Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections will also be held in the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim on April 19, and in Andhra Pradesh on May 13. The Odisha Assembly elections will be held in 4 phases on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1.

Bypolls will also be conducted simultaneously for 26 Assembly constituencies across the country.

The ECI has stated that the comprehensive election schedule has been carefully drawn up to ensure adequate preparation time, security arrangements, and voter convenience.
